Spam emails have been circulating since early 2010 that claim to be from NZOG staff offering to transfer funds to a personal account from the Kupe project. The name changes but the content is generally the same.
These are not legitimate and do not originate from NZOG. These emails use false addresses designed to look genuine but they actually originate from Nigeria.
Do not respond to them.
We have advised the NZ police and are taking what action we can to prevent the dissemination of these scam emails. Unfortunately we are advised that 95% of the emails circulating in the world are fake and it's extremely difficult to stop.
