Independent appraisal report of Kupe transaction

New Zealand Oil & Gas is today mailing to shareholders an independent appraisal report on its sale to Genesis Energy of its 15 per cent interest in the Kupe gas field. The report is being mailed along with a notice of a special shareholder meeting to be held on 16 December.

New Zealand Oil & Gas interest in Kupe field

New Zealand Oil & Gas has reached agreement to sell its 15 per cent interest in the Kupe gas and oil fields and production station to Genesis Energy for NZ$168 million. The effective date of the transaction will be 1 January 2017 and includes New Zealand Oil & Gas entitlement to overriding royalty interests.

34.7% Increase in Kupe Developed Reserves

New Zealand Oil & Gas has materially upgraded its developed reserves in the Kupe gas and light oil field off Taranaki, New Zealand. Following a review by New Zealand Oil & Gas, the company’s 2P developed reserves have increased by 34.7 per cent, from 4.2 million barrels of oil equivalent to 5.6 million.
