Pateke-4H drilling update 29 April 2014

At 6.00 this morning (NZST) the Pateke-4H well, offshore Taranaki, New Zealand, was at a measured depth of 4,700 metres and drilling ahead horizontally through the Kapuni F10 sandstone reservoir with an 8 1/2 inch drilling assembly, the operator has advised.

Seismic survey completed at Waru

A seismic survey of around 540 kilometres of 2D data has been completed in the Waru permit, PEP 54857 off South Taranaki, where New Zealand Oil & Gas holds a 100 per cent interest.

At 6.00 this morning (NZST) the Pateke-4H well, offshore Taranaki, New Zealand, was at a measured depth of 3,863 metres and drilling ahead at around 10 metres/hour with an 8 1/2 inch drilling assembly after successfully side-tracking from the 9 5/8 inch casing at 3,587 metres, the operator has advised.

At 06:00 this morning (NZST) the Pateke-4H remains at a measured depth of 4,083m BRT (below rotary table), and the 9 5/8 inch casing has been installed and cemented with the shoe at 3,669m BRT.

At 06:00 this morning (NZDT) the Pateke-4H was at a measured depth of 4,083m BRT (below rotary table), compared to 3,845m at the same time last week, and had intersected the hydrocarbon bearing F10 reservoir sand.
